There are not enough stars to give Jessica for the experience she gave me during one of the hardest chapters of my life.
Selling my dad’s house was never simply selling a property. This was the home that had belonged to my grandparents and had been part of my family since the year I was born. It was a place that represented generations and held a lifetime of memories—family, holidays, laughter, tears, and so many moments that I will carry with me forever.
After my dad passed away, I was faced with the heartbreaking reality of having to sell the property because of a MERP claim. I knew what had to be done, but knowing that didn’t make it any less painful. I was grieving my dad while simultaneously having to let go of the physical place that represented so much of our family history. Honestly, there were moments when it felt completely overwhelming.
And then there was Jessica.
From the very beginning, Jessica understood that this was so much more than a real estate transaction. She never treated me like just another client or another house to put on the market. She listened to my stories. She understood why certain things were difficult for me. She let me cry when I needed to cry, listened when I needed to talk, and somehow always knew when I needed reassurance.
She walked beside me through every single step of the process. She was patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, responsive, and incredibly supportive. But what meant the most to me was that she cared about the story behind the house.
One of my biggest fears was that the house would go to someone who would never understand what it meant to our family. Jessica helped me find the right family—people who I truly believe will love the home and make their own beautiful memories there. That brought me a kind of peace I honestly didn’t know I could have.
Some people come into your life because of business. Jessica came into mine because of business, but she became so much more than my real estate agent. She became someone I trusted, someone who listened, someone who supported me through an incredibly emotional process, and someone I will always be grateful to have met.
I truly believe God brought Jessica into my life at exactly the right time.
Jessica, thank you for holding my hand through something that broke my heart. Thank you for hearing all of my stories, for understanding what that house meant to me, and for helping me let go in a way that felt a little less painful. I will never forget the kindness you showed me.
